WOW!!, are we excited!. Thanks to the team from Waykat Services P/L we now have fantastic internet and mobile phone service here at Carboor. We Can't believe how fast it is at 48Mbps download and 27Mbps up this was after qwe were tolfd by Telstra that it was not possible toi ever have mobilke phone coverage or internet at our farm . I recently established an office in regional New South Wales and, although the building had previously been occupied by a company involved in land development, the availability of communications was not acceptable. Mobile phone reception was only available outside the building and internet provision throughout the building was very rudimentary. The owner of the building had previously sought improvements from the telecommunications provider and had been advised that nothing further would be done.
Before committing to purchasing the building, I engaged Wayne from Waykat Services to assess the capacity of available services. He subsequently advised that excellent mobile phone reception could be achieved and that the internet service to the building and through the building could be seamless. Wayne provided a price for the complete design and installation service and, armed with this information, I sought to secure the building purchase, which was achieved without competition from other purchasers.
The installation of the equipment and service upgrades occurred over a 2 day period and Wayne was on site for the duration of the installation and commissioning. Waynes professionalism, and that of his team, is second to none. Any issues that arose during the project were quickly resolved and the installation was finalised and running smoothly as planned.

The result is “5 bar” mobile phone reception throughout the building and outdoor courtyard; internet connection and a wireless system covering the same areas.
Waynes knowledge and understanding of the issues, especially “remote” installations, and the communications industry, provides and edge which resulted in a number of “fail safe” elements to be built into my system. As an example, my computer systems automatically switch to mobilenet when the internet signal fails, without any indication to the operator and no loss of data or time, then switch back again when internet service is restored. Waykat are able to design and tailor a system to suit individual requirements.

I have subsequently been involved in a number of projects, on a professional basis, where Waykat have been engaged to provide communications services. Generally, these clients have been advised that services were unavailable or the telecommunications provider was unable / unwilling to assist. In each case Waykat have been able to assess the availability of services and provide solutions accordingly.

The honesty and integrity of the Waykat team has been flawless throughout all of my dealings with them. I also have the knowledge that should something fail within the system, Waykat are a phone call away and that they will address any problem quickly. I have now engaged Waykat to manage all of my communications systems, from the provision of data services and communications technology through to the provision and maintenance of user hardware.

I don’t believe that any business can afford to operate without properly functioning communications. My experiences when dealing with the telecommunications providers have generally resulted in long periods of time “on hold” and generally compromised outcomes. The costs associated with the Waykat installation are a business expense and will be easily recovered over a short period. An unexpected upside to dealing with Waykat is that they are now a “one stop shop” for all of my communications and I need to make only 1 call to gain information on any new technology or have maintenance or repairs undertaken.

To whom it may concern professional reference regarding Waykat Services

Having tolerated slow speed and a variable, unrealiable wireless internet connection for years we finally sort help when continuing signal failures became intolerable. Living in regional Victoria, 4kms off a main road and too far from an exchange for ADSL, even if it was available and with absolutely no hope of the mythical NBN, we needed help.

A neighbour introduced me to Doug at Telco and very soon it was clear that there was going to be a solution in spite of our provider insisting little could be done. Within 48 hours a "desktop assessment" was completed and suggested that even though being 37kms from a 4G tower we had line of site and it was better to try and connect with that than bother with 3G from other closer towers. Having completed the assessment it was suggested an antenna and specific cables. I needed an installer and Doug recommended their approved installer for Victoria/Tasmania and NSW - WayKat Sevices.

The same day (Friday) the assessment was provided, Wayne of WayKat Services called me at 7.00pm to discuss the problems and suggested he come and visit and make some suggestions, he nominated Monday. Wayne and Katherine arrived on Monday morning with a communications trailer full of antennas, cable, modems, routers and computers to run all manner of communications tests. Within an hour or so WayKat Services had erected a 15M temporary mast and tested two different antennas and connected to the 4G tower 37 kms away.

The ping test was 29msec and the upload/download speeds went from 1 mb/sec to 15 and 12 mbs/sec respectively - it was startling stuff for people who previously could almost make a cup of tea waiting for downloads to complete! I was convinced and stunned when Wayne said he could complete the installation 4 days hence on Friday.

Friday came and 6 hours later the antenna was erected and the mast stayed, the cables where passed through the roof cavity, down a wall and out onto a desk with very little mess. A plug plate was mounted on the wall and the whole thing looks and is totally professional and completed to a standard others could only aspire to but never reach. Wayne configured our 4G Sierra 320U dongle and installed a Dovado Pro router to further improve speeds. We no longer have connection dropouts and the signal/speed is more reliable than being in Melbourne.

Our nagging problems were solved in a week by three people who know their "trades" perfectly. There is no messing about, just the facts and the way to solve the problem and then, once accepted, carryout the installation.

For me, if one has a communication problem there are only two names one needs - Telco and WayKat Services. Each business is complementary to each other and they are all really great people who provide technology and fantastic, efficient old fashioned service.

I cannot recommend them too highly enough, between the three of them Doug and especially Wayne and Katherine saved our sanity - our former problems are now, just a bad memory.

We were advised of Waykat Services via Telco Antennas Queensland as their preferred supply, installation & commissioning company, from the initial phone call Katherine and Wayne was answered quickly and they provided very prompt, professional and informative information & service

As a new resident to regional Victoria who just wants to have and needs access to good reliable high speed internet it is all quite over whelming. Waykat Services provided detailed information in a language we could understand.

They totally understood our needs and the frustrations we were dealing with people like Telstra etc. and provided us with a prompt seamless installation.

Wayne suggested he do a pre site visit to ensure that what was being proposed would work, and believe it or not they were here the next day. After this visit they confirmed they would have a written quote to us by the following day end of business and sure enough there it was.Believe it or not

Two days later the Waykat Services team were back at our farm and installing and commissioning our high speed fixed wireless internet system, it was a long day for them and they even got a little fright with a tiger snake popping out to check out the new system.

It is very obvious that Wayne and Katherine have spent considerable time, money and training into their business, their onsite professionalism is fantastic.

To tech-heads, newbs and whoever else it may concern .
Although surrounded by a number of relay towers, the internet reception at our farm, half between Daylesford
and Kyneton in country Victoria, was very poor - slow. Page loads were always slow and would often stall at
peak times in the morning and evening. After receiving a new Telstra mobile broadband 4G modem, which
couldn't pick up a 4G signal, I did a bit of searching and came across Telco Antennas in QLD.
I took advantage of their online site signal analysis, which revealed that with the right antennas it would be
possible to access a 4G signal from a local tower about 20kms away in Kyneton. Fortunately, our local antenna
businesses claimed that improving reception at our place would be impossible and we would have to settle for
the weak and unreliable 3G signal picked up in bits and pieces from a number of surrounding towers. I say
'fortunately' because their response had me go back to Telco Antennas where I found links to their
recommended installers & suppliers, namely in Victoria, Waykat Services
A few day after I contacted them, Wayne and Katherine arrived at the farm, checked with the signal analysis
from Telco and set up the new antennas. Despite the onset of some refreshing mountain dew (ie heavy rain),
Wayne precisely aligned the new antennas to the appropriate tower, ran the heavy copper cables from the mast
through the roof and wall and linked them up neatly via a wall bracket and down-sized wires to the very fragilelooking
connectors on the modem. Wayne also installed a wi-fi booster unit to increase the area covered by our
home network.
I was not only impressed with the very professional 'finishing' of the installation - everything water-proofed and
neatly secured - but I was also relieved to deal with friendly people who could provide clear answers to my
questions about technical things. Our 4G internet signal is now unaffected by peak load times and provides
completely a reliable signal almost as strong as our cable connection in Melbourne's inner suburbs. Many

Previously the speeds were worse than dial-up and we had absolutely no mobile coverage but now we are whizzing along with high speed internet and full mobile coverage throughout. We met Waykat Services back in October 2010 when they used our services. 

It quickly become apparent that after a short conversation that they were in a position to help streamline our new Franchise Pack and Send Courier and Packaging Business in Eltham, Melbourne Victoria. 

On examination of our communications account and looking at out I.T. infrastructure Waykat Services P/L were able to provide us with a much more competitive, more flexible and cheaper but much better business grade internet service with a service lever guarantee ( SLA ) giving us a faster speed, more download and much better customer service than we were receiving in the past with our last carrier they showed us how to really maximize our internet service and work smarter not harder utilising our I.T. infrastructure not just using it. 

Waykat Services P/L then turned their eye to our Telephone and Eftpos costs and showed us that by installing Business Grade VoIP ( Voice over Internet Protocol ) we would be able to maximize and get the very best possible value out of our new business grade internet whilst greatly reducing our communications over heads. 

We are currently in discussion with Waykat Services P/L to change over our Eftpos system for one that will not only save us money but be faster and more efficient for our Franchise Pack and Send Courier and Packaging Business saving us money and time. 

They produced a professional looking quote and gave us a great presentation and explained every thing very clearly and in a language that we were able to understand were able to answer all our questions with out any hesitation. 

Waykat Services P/L have also showed us how to spend more after hours with family and be able to work from home or on the road instead of being stuck at the office for all hours some thing that is greatly appreciated whilst also arranging remote access for our bookkeeper some thing is a big time,travel and money saver for our business. 

We went on to separately engage the services of Waykat Services P/L to take on a large Telco that had stiffed our Franchise Pack and Send Courier and Packaging Business $700.00 and refused to give back the money we attempted to fight it but had no luck and were fighting an up hill loosing battle. 

Once the fight was handed over to Waykat Services P/L they kept us fully in the loop and soon had our $700.00 back in our hands where it belonged. Thank You.

As a specialiesd printing company we needed to get some specialized software for our pre-press area in a hurry. I wasn't able to get it in under a three week time frame through my own office, but as my husband Wayne of Waykat Services works in the industry, I asked him to try and see whether he would be able to get it quicker.

Between placing the order and receiving the software it was less than two days. Wayne kept me informed as to where the software was at and organized for it to be delivered directly to me.

As this software was needed for print magazines that were being processed through our plant and needed to be delivered locally and interstate within a specified time frame we were under pressure to complete the jobs.
